When we bought the new tricycle we also bought this seat to be able to go on family cycling trips. But Aidan was so excited about his new tricycle that we could not convince him try it, even after Daddy worked so hard to install it. This weekend we finally convinced him and he had a lot of fun. We look forward to enjoying this new way of going around as a family this summer.

Aidan and Theresa have been together in daycare since infant room. Theresa's mother, Patricia, is Venezuelan and her dad Canadian, so they have a lot in common. The teachers say they are like brother and sister because they love and hate each other and are always either playing or fighting. Patricia took these pictures last week. Theresa begins a new daycare in July. We will miss her very much.

Daddy discovered Aidan putting his fine motor skills to work building a tower out of small wooden blocks.

While visiting with our pre-natal class friends a couple of weeks ago, Mommy was finally able to convince Aidan to wear his cool shark flotation device. He was super excited to be swimming by himself! The "to infinity and beyond" Buzz Lightyear quote was completely unprompted.

Mommy and Daddy bought Aidan a tricycle and helmet this weekend after seeing how good he was getting riding at daycare. He loves it, and rode all the way home from the splash park later that day - about 1 km!

More fun (and a new skill!) from the Brickworks this past weekend.

It's not warm enough to swim yet, but Aidan managed to have lots of fun playing with sand and throwing rocks into the lake.

Aidan seems to be ready to be a typical man: eating snacks and watching TV on his underwear.

Aidan has been using the potty regularly for about a week but still using diapers. Today we bought his first pairs of underwear: Toy Story, Sesame Street and Cars. We had some hits and misses. We cleaned pee from the floor a few times. But in general we're very happy and proud of our little man and his progress!

Aidan is turning into a park professional climbing and going down the slide by himself.
