Having reached the age of majority (in months, at least), Mommy and Daddy thought it was time to leave behind the baby-themed blog and graduate to one one suitable for big boys. This picture was taken on his eighteen month birthday in the playground Daddy and Aidan sometimes visit on their way home from school.
Hot new haircut
Aidan's "school" has a partner "Haircuts on Wheels" that goes every two months and cuts the kids hair for a fee, which is very convenient for us. Last time we couldn't tell if he got it because he looked exactly the same. Today it was haircut day and this time you can tell the difference for sure!
Arepa mmm
Continuing with the theme of Aidan eating, here we share a couple of videos of him enjoying his Arepas. Mommy enjoys watching him eating them with so much pleasure.
And now with the spoon
Aidan loves his oatmeal at breakfast. for the past few days he's eating it by himself with a spoon. Sometimes with the left hand, sometimes with the right.
Busy long weekend
We decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather this weekend by spending lots of time outside with Aidan. We went to a BBQ / pool party on Saturday. The water was too cold for swimming, but Aidan still had a good time exploring the back yard and interacting with people. Sunday we went to the park and had lunch on a patio on our way home. We bought Aidan some new clothes and a cool pair of sunglasses as well. That evening we had a BBQ play date with Russ and Claire on the rooftop. On Monday Aidan walked all the way to the grocery store, and we had another rooftop BBQ for dinner.
Fork expert
In the past weeks Aidan has gotten much better using the fork and he's eating less often with his hands. It also seems that he's more organized with the food and there is less mess to pick up after he's done.
Found a new park
Aidan and Daddy went out to buy Mommy's Mother's Day present yesterday, and afterwards were going to head over to a park near the AGO. Along the way we discovered a new park tucked in behind city hall, and decided to play there instead. Aidan had a lot of fun climbing into the little fort and going down the slide on his tummy, feet first of course!
Climbing trees
Budding artist
Aidan has been doing lots of arts and crafts at daycare, especially since being moved to the toddler room, so Mommy and Daddy decided to set up space for him to pursue his artistic endeavours at home.
Pots!
Grandma has way more interesting and accessible pots than we have at home!
