Aidan and Daddy went to visit Grandma for her 60th birthday and had a lot of fun! Aidan really enjoyed walking around the boarding lounge (ours and a few others!) and pressing all the buttons at our seat. We got lucky with an empty seat next to us, so he was able to sleep the whole flight home and Daddy could eat in peace, and even watch a movie!

After taking Mommy to vote for the Venezuelan primary elections on February 12, the family went together to Arepa Café for tequeños and arepas. Aidan honoured his Venezuelan heritage by devouring his tequeño with a lot of pleasure. Tequeño yummy!
Aidan has long been fascinated by the washer and dryer, and now that he's taller and more stable on his feet, he likes to help out when we do laundry. He likes pressing all the buttons and turning the knob and seeing all the lights blink. Fortunately there's a child lock feature so he can press and turn to his heart's content and not disrupt things!
One of our joys is that Aidan shares our love for the band Travis. Thanks to Travis we can get Aidan dressed to go outside, calm him down during temper tantrums or just watch him enjoying the music and dancing. This video contains a collection of clips of Aidan watching Travis peform 'Beautiful Occupation', which is one of his favourite songs.
When Mommy went out for dinner last week, Daddy and Aidan decided to make some art with markers. The results, at least those that ended up on the paper, were pretty good. Next time we'll use crayons though!
Aidan has been standing up and taking few steps here and there for a while, but for the past three days he seems more interested in walking and is taking more and more steps at a time. When he falls, instead of crawling, he stands up again to keep walking. The only downside for now is the wipe outs when he wants to go faster than he can actually manage!
Mommy and Daddy gave Aidan a bag of Mega Bloks for Christmas and he took to them right away. He is now a master at building (and destroying!) Mega towers!
