Happy birthday, Grandma! Happy birthday, Mom! Lots of love from all of us!
This week Aidan and I had a play date with Lily Shai and her mom Stacey (friends from the YMCA Family and Development Center, more about this on a separate blog post) We had a great time and they seemed to like each other, in their own way... Too cute!
Last Thursday Aidan had his first official appointment with our family doctor and his first round of vaccinations . Two shots, one on each thigh. He was so brave! I had him on my breast, he screamed for a bit with each shot and then quickly calmed down and resumed feeding. In the afternoon he had a sudden weird crying episode and wouldn’t calm down with anything, but it was very brief. No fever...
Aidan's bunny bath towel was in rotation this week, and Daniela wanted a picture with her little bunny. All I had at hand was the iPhone, so I snapped this quick shot while I could. I was on my way to grab the "real" camera when I heard a familiar sound. Mommy's little bunny wasn't so cute anymore when we had to give him a second bath! The towel (and Daniela's clothes) went straight into the wash.
We celebrated Valentine's day twice, yesterday prepared by Daddy and today by Mommy. Aidan helped both times to pick cards, chocolates and do groceries. He was also in both dinner parties! He doesn't want to miss any of the Love around...
The towel was a present from Aunt Susan and Uncle Alan. It keeps him warm and it's full of love!
Getting Aidan out of bed in the morning is one of my favourite things to do. He's always very happy to see Daddy, and puts on a very amusing wake-up / stretching routine. Just one of the many reasons that I'm not showing up at work very early these days!

It's been cold but Aidan still needs to go out everyday to fulfill all his social commitments. The winter suits finally fit enough to be able to go out and still look cute. Aidan doesn't love that he can't eat his hands when he just discovered them but he seems to find them very cozy.
Aidan has found his hands, and spends lots of time exploring what they taste like. They taste better than Daddy's hands, which this morning tasted like baby wipes.
