Eliana turned one and we can't believe how fast time flew. She didn't want anything to do with the cake but she really enjoyed the birthday music!

We signed Aidan up for ice-skating lessons in the fall, and the results have been impressive!

Eliana is very interested in the dishwasher, and always rushes right over when she sees it's open. It seems she just wants to help!

Now that Aidan is in Grade 1, he's been getting homework sent home regularly. Usually it's a quick exercise, practicing some spelling words or doing some reading. He's pretty keen on getting it done, and always wants to be sure he does a good job!

Eliana has been practicing her stair climbing lately, and is getting pretty good at it!

Aidan participated in a cross-country meet on October 5th. A number of schools gathered at Ashbridges Bay (in the Beaches area of the city, on the lake) to run the race. Aidan's age group ran a 1Km route, and he finished 15th!

Aidan has been working on this loose tooth for weeks and last night he was complaining he wanted it out so Mommy made yet again another attempt to pull it out and this time it worked!! He was SO excited and happy thinking about sharing the news with his friends and teacher at school. Mommy and Daddy are happy they don't have to see the wiggly tooth anymore! :P

Aidan decided to join the cross-country team at school, helping his class earn popsicle sticks (based on how far they run). The class with the most popsicle sticks at the end of each week wins the "Golden Shoe" award. His class won the first week! If you look carefully, you'll see Aidan in the middle of the pack: he's wearing a dark grey shirt and aqua shorts.

We stopped by McCleary Park the other day specifically so Aidan could show us how he could climb the big rock. What we didn't know is that he had a slightly different approach to getting back down!
