First solids

Eliana started to eat baby cereals last week. So far she's tried brown rice, barley and oatmeal and she loves them! She's eating all her brunch and the mess is not too bad. We'll be trying veggies, fruit, dairy and meat soon!

Rolly Polly

With Eliana the joy is double: for her reaching milestones and for how cool it is seeing Aidan as excited as we were when he reached his.

Basketball star in the making

Further underscoring the crazy swings in weather we've seen this winter, here's what we did five days after our tobogganing trip: basketball. Aidan "has been dribbling for 3 years" he tells me, and he does seem to be pretty good! He won this game (played using a white painted square on the school wall as our "net") 100-16.

Surprise visit!

One of the many advantages of living close to school is that on any given day your son can show up at the door with all his friends and daycare teachers. So cute!!

PS: As part of March Break there was a dance party at Gerrard Square mall close to home and they were on their way back to school.

Tobogganing

It was something like 12 degrees here on Friday, but just a few days earlier, we had a tonne of snow come down. Since we really haven't had much of a winter yet (and certainly hardly any snow), we hadn't had a chance to head out tobogganing yet. I was off on vacation, so picked Aidan up early and we headed out to Riverdale Park East for some winter fun. Aidan was very brave and ended up going down the (fairly large) hill all by himself!
